After one of the worst weekends yet and I really wondered how we were going to get through this, Aiden wakes up this morning and asked to go for a walk!!!! March 8th will be a day I will never forget! It is the first time Aiden is really walking with no help! The first time he is up by himself since September 21st. This is not a PT class or me asking. This is all my fiery little conquerer, Aiden Victor Paul Fotherby-Verk! I am filled with joy! I imidiatly sent video to Josh, he is filled with joy! My cheeks hurt from smiling! And Aiden just kept going! It is the first day at the RMH that he felt good enough to leave our room. We walked downstairs and went to the playroom. It was the first time he got to play with other kids here and I got to sit and enjoyed a coffee! The coffee never tasted so good! The sun is brighter today! The air is fresher! It is a good day and I am taking it all in and holding on to these moments. I am reminded that at the end of the worst storms there is always a rainbow!
